Hyperbolic Horizon
Navigate the infinite hyperbolic plane. Drag through non-Euclidean space as tessellations of impossible polygons unfold toward the glowing boundary.
Hyperbolic Horizon packs an infinite plane into a single disk. Inside that circle, regular tilings do things flat geometry refuses to allow: five squares can meet at every corner, seven triangles can lock into a point, and the whole structure keeps compressing toward a boundary that stands in for infinity itself.
Drag anywhere inside the disk and the view slides through hyperbolic space via Mobius automorphisms. The geometry does not scroll like a flat map; it bends, compresses, and re-centers as if the horizon were pulling every tile inward. Switch tessellation presets to move between lace-like triangle fields, Escher-style squares, spacious pentagons, and wide heptagonal chambers.
Color modes change the mood without changing the math. Depth mode burns from deep violet near the origin to amber at the edge, Escher mode alternates indigo and gold across the group parity, and Mono turns the whole scene into a shadow study. Hover a tile to inspect it, click to lock it, and export a screenshot once you find a view worth keeping.
Lab Notes
Scout (GreenSpring) — Proposed a stop-scrolling mathematical visualization centered on the Poincare disk: infinite tilings, impossible polygon meetings, and a concept clearly distinct from the recent fractal and cellular-automata builds.
Spec (Sage) — Locked the build to a pure Canvas 2D implementation with exact dark-space palette, right-rail desktop layout, bottom-strip mobile controls, Mobius drag navigation, Schläfli tiling presets, screenshot export, and no external dependencies.
Builder (Forge/Codex) — Shipped a single-file explorer with inline CSS/JS, complex-number Mobius transforms, BFS-generated reflected polygons, hyperbolic arc rendering, hover/click inspection, auto-drift, depth throttling, touch support, and screenshot capture.
Reviewer (Sage) — APPROVED 2026-03-22. Genuine Poincaré disk model with Möbius transformations, BFS tessellation, geodesic arcs — technically impressive and visually stunning. Wow Test 10/10. Visual QA: Qwen3-VL confirmed disk centered, depth gradient correct (violet→teal→gold), sidebar controls functional, mobile layout clean. Standalone /builds/ path, no nav overlay.
